Insights and research company TRA announces the appointment of internationally renowned strategist and thought leader Alistair Rennie to the role of Business Director and a key member of New Zealand's senior team.
Bringing a wealth of global experience and expertise to TRA, Rennie will play a pivotal role in driving TRA's growth and spearheading client initiatives across all aspects of the business.
Karin Glucina, Managing Partner, TRA New Zealand, said Rennie's strategic vision and forward-thinking approach to solving difficult problems will further strengthen TRA's position as a market leader in New Zealand's insights and research sector.
Glucina said, “Alistair's appointment reinforces TRA's commitment to attracting top talent and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Early on, it became very clear that Alistair is totally focused on successful customer and client outcomes and aims to make a real difference for people, both of which perfectly align with TRA's proposition and ethos.”
“We are delighted Alistair has accepted the role – he takes a fresh perspective on solving client problems, and his ability to draw on global experience will further strengthen the growing TRA team.”
Rennie joins TRA with an impressive global background in senior insights and research roles. Most recently at MYOB, and prior to that, head of strategic insight at Easy Crypto, he has been instrumental in driving go-to-market strategies and thought leadership across both organisations, leading to increased product development and market growth.
Prior to that, Rennie held senior positions at Google UK, where he developed the award-winning "Messy Middle" marketing model and research series, clearly demonstrating his ability to identify and capitalise on emerging market trends, launch new products, and drive significant and sustainable business growth.
The methodology remains central to Google's narrative today, and Rennie continues to deliver thought leadership and practical strategies across global markets as an author, facilitator, and keynote speaker on the topic.
Glucina continued, "Alistair's 'can do' attitude and passion for solving difficult client problems, along with his highly refined strategic and innovative mindset, align perfectly with TRA's vision and goals. We believe his expertise will be instrumental in helping guide our future direction and accelerate our growth trajectory. We welcome him to our growing team."
Regarding his new role, Rennie said, "I am delighted to be part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, and I look forward to collaborating with TRA's exceptional team and leveraging my skills and experience to contribute to the company's – and its clients' – future success."
Outside of work, Alistair is a keen and active volunteer mentor for women and young people in business.
His appointment is effective immediately, and he will be based in Auckland.
